Silvia Gariglio
Silvia Gariglio is an illustrator from Turin who began painting self-taught, later refining her skills under the guidance of painters Daniele Portaleone and Piera Luisolo, and attending workshops with artists such as Jean Francois Arnaud, Shishi Yamazaki, Gianluca Folì, Andrea Serio, and Joanna Layla. Her illustrations, created with ink and watercolor on paper, bring figures and landscapes to life with a calligraphic, almost gestural style, where colors and brushstrokes define the shapes. She now works as a freelance illustrator, and her clients include Eataly, BIC, Slow Food, Neri Pozza, Cook Corriere, Compagnia dei Caraibi, Gribaudo, as well as collaborations with RAI Fiction and Frenesy Film. Ho scritto un libro per te (but it’s not this one) marks her debut in illustrated books. When she is not painting, she retreats to a mountain trail.
