Silvia Roncaglia

Silvia Roncaglia is originally from Modena, Italy, but now lives on a Greek island. After working as a teacher, she went on to become editor-in-chief of two children’s magazines and has long been involved in promoting reading through workshops and storytelling events in schools and libraries.
A well-established author of children’s books and theatrical scripts, she has published around 150 titles with some of the most prominent Italian publishers. Her work blends commitment, magical imagination, wordplay, irony, a direct connection with young readers, and a strong theatrical flair—resulting in ever-new and inventive stories.
She has won numerous prestigious literary awards, including the renowned Premio Bancarellino.
For five years, she curated and directed the I Nuovi Colori del Mondo children’s book series for the publisher Città Nuova.
