I Wrote You a Book (Just Not This One!)

Picture book

“You can read this book and see that, once and for all, I do love you…”

Sometimes it takes a whole book to tell a person how much you love her. And if that person is Mum, it will have to be a beautiful book: full of pictures, difficult words, beautiful things to make her smile, music. And everything will have to be super tidy, just as she likes it.It was a book just like that, but it has been lost (maybe the cat took it): this book here remains and maybe Mum will like it anyway!

  • A tender and witty dedication to mothers, from Italian Andersen Prize winner Angelo Mozzillo.
  • A book in which text and images dialogue in a delightful counterpoint, with delicate watercolours giving visual form to children’s imagination.
