Sometimes the dark comes

Francesco Morgando writes for children and organizes events. He is the coordinator of Book Pride – National Fair of Independent Publishing and has worked for many years on the children's program of the Turin Book Fair. He published Calypso la bambina wi-fi with Feltrinelli Kids, while A volte arriva il buio is his first illustrated book, published as part of the Lucca Junior Contest – Livio Sossi Editorial Illustration Award 2024, with illustrations by Melinda Berti. He lives and works between Turin and Milan.

Melinda Berti lives and works in Florence. After years of creative exploration and experimentation, she brought Little Mel to life—her illustrated alter ego. Through her, Melinda dives into imagination, searches for hidden meanings, and shares glimpses of her inner world in every drawing. The result is a delicate, timeless universe inhabited by tiny animals, artichoke-shaped houses, and a quietly enchanted nature.
