What a Story! Apollo 13

Historical

Adventures of Yesterday for Today’s Readers

History is not just what we’re taught at school desks. It is also – and above all – the grand narrative of thrilling, thought-provoking, unpredictable, sometimes frightening… yet real events. A series of books that recount key moments in history by drawing today’s readers directly into the action.

Apollo 13 is a gripping account of one of the most dramatic and astonishing space missions ever undertaken: the failed Apollo 13 expedition and the courageous return home. Christian Hill recounts with clarity and intensity the chain of events that turned a lunar exploration into a fight for survival – from the onboard explosion to the incredible engineering feats and the collective efforts of the crew and ground control.
Illustrated with historical photos, scientific insights, and technical curiosities, this book offers young readers (and the curious of all ages) an engaging retelling of an extraordinary human achievement.

  • Incredible true stories from ancient times to the modern era.
  • Each volume includes appendices with facts, curiosities, and anecdotes to deepen the reader’s understanding.
