Irene Penazzi is an author and illustrator. Her debut picture book, Nel mio giardino il mondo (In My Garden, the World) (Terre di mezzo Editore), was selected for the IBBY Honour List 2020. She collaborates with both Italian and international publishers, receiving international recognition. Her works were featured in the exhibition Eccellenze italiane. La nuova generazione degli illustratori italiani per ragazzi (Italian Excellence: The New Generation of Italian Illustrators for Children) at the Bologna Children's Book Fair 2021.
