Vincenzo Barone
Vincenzo Barone teaches theoretical physics at the University of Eastern Piedmont in Vercelli and is a member of the National Institute for Nuclear Physics. After graduating from the University of Turin, he conducted research around the world, at MIT in Boston, the Landau Institute in Moscow, the Collège de France in Paris, and the Institute of High Energy Physics in Beijing. As a specialist in particle physics, he belongs to the third generation of Fermi’s disciples (after Fermi), that of the students of his students. He has been actively involved in science communication, participating in major science festivals, organizing exhibitions, and writing around ten books. Among other works, he edited the anthology of popular science writings Fermi: Atoms, Nuclei, and Particles.
