An exhilarating adventure and a timeless love story. A spellbinding novel of passion and history.

Imagine a gripping story with two beginnings and a surprising end. In the summer of 2024, Lianna arrives in Solferino to visit her mother’s grave, where an encounter with Asé, the mysterious cemetery guardian, opens the door to a second beginning. In the summer of 1858, two siblings, Sante and Altea, and Visio, ‘reborn’ after a near-fatal encounter, experience love and friendship against the backdrop of the Risorgimento’s bloodiest battle. As war looms, they discover the true cost of choices and protecting what they hold dear. Past and present intertwine with unexpected twists in a tale of fire and silk.

  • Elegant, powerful writing with short, fast-paced chapters that quickly change the rhythm of the story. A story of love, friendship, and universal values set against the backdrop of Italy.
  • An unexpected ending with a twist that will leave you breathless.
