Susanna Mattiangeli, born in Rome in 1971, studied art history and gained work experience in theater. She is dedicated to projects for children, leading drawing and creative writing workshops in collaboration with schools, libraries, and bookstores. She has published numerous books with various Italian publishers, and in 2018, she was a finalist for the Premio Strega Ragazze e Ragazzi with I numeri felici (Vànvere Edizioni). That same year, she won the Andersen Prize as "Best Writer." In 2021, she was named the Italian Children’s Laureate for the 2022-2024 period

Kanjano, also known as Giuliano Cangiano, is an illustrator and Art Director at Studio Shamun. He has collaborated with publications such as L'Unità and Il Corriere della Sera, publishing comic strips and graphic journalism. He directed the magazine Mamma! Se ci leggi è giornalismo, se ci quereli è satira and created graphic novels like Ilva, Comizi d'acciaio and Sostiene Sankara (Becco Giallo). He works as a colorist and letterer for Panini and Salani, as well as a freelance illustrator.
