Three Friends, One Last Year

Romance
Coming of age

How to survive your final year of middle school without smartphones — but with your best friends beside you.

The final exams are getting closer, teachers keep asking about high school choices, and the experimental smartphone ban is still in place. So Lola, Zoe and Isi continue sharing their secret Friends’ Diary, filling its pages with fears, crushes, disasters and dreams for the future. Between theatre rehearsals, karate lessons, broken hearts and difficult family expectations, the three girls will discover that growing up means learning to trust their own voices — even when the future feels uncertain. Because sometimes the only way to survive middle school is to write everything down together.

  • A unique shared-diary format: told through handwritten entries, notes, drawings and conversations, the novel captures the emotional immediacy of teenage friendship in an engaging and accessible way.
  • Three authentic and relatable protagonists: Lola, Zoe and Isi each face different fears, dreams and emotional struggles, allowing readers to identify with multiple perspectives on growing up.
