Pierdomenico grew up in an old house with a library containing more than 20,000 volumes. A writer and journalist, his books have sold millions of copies worldwide and have been translated into over 30 languages. Today he is considered one of the greatest Italian children’s authors.
Andrea is a linguist studying the 20th century Italian literary avant-garde. He graduated in modern letters from Genova University, completed a PhD at Ferrara University and has published articles in academic journals. From 2005 to 2007, he edited the "Maltese Narrazioni" literary magazine in which he also published several short stories. After this, he taught Italian language, literature and civilisation at Monastir University in Tunisia. More recently, he has started writing children’s books.
Igor is a Chief Commissioner of the Penitentiary Police, while Paola is a support teacher in primary schools. They are a couple both in life and in writing. Screenwriters of animated cartoons, their books have been published in several countries.
Christian was born in Milan to an Italian mother and German father. He studied aeronautical engineering and has worked in role-playing games, journalism, IT and photography. He lives in Milan with his wife, two daughters and dog. Parachute jumping is not something he’s ever contemplated as he’s afraid of heights.
Davide is not only a sci-fi and children’s author, but also a journalist and videogame translator. In 2018, Red Stars, one of his internationally successful books, won In Other Words – BookTrust’s Book in Translation Award in London. In 2017, he won the Italian Andersen Award with The Pocket Watch Gang, the adventure he dreams of having lived as a child. Then, in 2018, he was a finalist at Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis in Germany. In 2019, he won the Prix des Bouquineurs en Seine in France and the Vlag and Wimpel in the Netherlands.
Daniele lives in the province of Cuneo, in Piedmont, where he writes everything from novels to cards and messages in bottles. He began telling stories as a boy, whenever he came home late. His debut novel Grande won the Legenda Junior Prize and was shortlisted for the Bancarellino Prize 2018.
Jacopo Olivieri, a versatile artist, started off as an illustrator and cartoonist. He worked for years in the theatre as a costume designer and set designer. He has published children’s books with the leading Italian publishing houses.
